Chaffee County is 82% Public Land and Antero Hot Springs sits within the San Isabel National Forest. The Arkansas River is 10 minutes down Chalk Creek so the fishing and boating are world class. World class fishing, whitewater rafting & kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, snowmobiling and mountaineering are just some of the adventures that await the ambitious vacationer. The Colorado Trail and the Continental Divide Trail are just up the road. The Sawatch range that surrounds the cabins is home to alpine lakes, 14ers and miles of scenic trails. The snowmobile trails are endless and well maintained for motorheads or ski touring. Princeton Riding Stables is located just down the road for exceptional equine entertainment (trail rides). If you head west from the cabins, you'll find St Elmo 12 miles away where you can stroll the old boardwalks of this once booming mining town. This historic Ghost is where 4-wheel drive roads go off in every direction. Salida, Buena Vista & Leadville are only a short drive away and boast art galleries, restaurants, antique shops and museums. Of course, massage and spa treatment along with soaking in the mineral hot spring may be all you need to feel thrilled and exhilarated. Get out there so you can come ‘home’ to Antero Hot Springs for a soak in your private hot spring pool.
